The Found Home – Natural Elements

Natural elements are so timely in today’s decor and for some people they have been a part of their style for years. I’m always inspired by homes that have that “found” look – part salvaged, part vintage, part organic, incredibly unique. Here’s a peek inside a home on Maryland’s rural Chesapeake Bay Eastern Shore.

The combination of rustic wood and metal pieces help bring the outside indoors for that natural feel.  Clay sculptures and stuffed animal figures add a whimsical touch. And natural tree branches complete the look.  Here’s a few vintage and handmade selections to inspire and help you create your own “found” home.

  1. Delightful & fun! Sounds familiar 🙂 Our home features branches & beehives, bird nests & beaver stumps. Natural elements fit with any season and especially vintage decor. Thanks for sharing!

  2. Simply stunning collection – I love how eclectic the materials and objects are, but still all look as if they were always meant to be displayed in the same home!

  3. Truly lovely, this is so much like my personal space and aesthetic. I adore found objects in nature and time worn treasures of the past. My home is eclectic and cozy, so nice to see that others live as I do enjoying the best of natural elements in the found home.

    Wonderful post Marilyn, thanks!
